I am continually expanding my Personal Learning Network (PLN) through the use of social media tools such as Twitter and Google+. Through Twitter I was able to make an arrangement with another teacher to be my virtual associate teacher. She reads my blogs and Tweets and gives me meaningful feedback in order for me to grow as a 21st century educator.
I have attended a two day Smart Board certification course and received my Notebook 1 and 2 certifications. Through my interactions with my classmates and the instructor, I was able to gain valuable insight and the associated skills in order to create interactive and educational Smart Board presentations.
I have also used several online tools to help expand my PLN. For example, I have used Illuminate to participate in an online lecture and discussion on how to create technology PD session for my colleagues. I am currently in the process of creating my PD session that I will soon share!
